(Vancouver, WA)  On October 21, 2016, H.B. Fuller closed part of their facility in Vancouver, donated supplies, and paid their employees to complete projects at five of EOCF’s early learning centers for children ages birth-5.  Volunteers built playground equipment and sandboxes, painted buildings, classrooms and kitchens, did landscaping, assisted classroom teachers and administration and donated project supplies. This is the fourth year that H.B. Fuller has generously chosen to serve families at EOCF during their global Make a Difference Campaign. EOCF staff remarked that H.B. Fuller employees are hard working, dedicated and enjoy the work.

“The generosity of H.B. Fuller and their employees is significant,” said Carol Foster, Executive Director for EOCF. “Not only were these projects completed for the most-needy children in our community, but we also earned nearly $3,300 worth of in-kind volunteer time and donations. We greatly appreciate their ongoing partnership in helping us strengthen children and families in our community. Current funding for early learning programs only allows EOCF to serve 25% of eligible families, so every contribution helps us provide more life-transforming services. We always welcome donations of volunteer time, supplies, and services.”

About EOCF and H.B. Fuller

EOCF has provided early learning and family support services for nearly 50 years, at no cost, to children and families with low incomes or disabilities through the Head Start, Early Head Start, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program, and HotShots Youth Sports programs. We engage the entire family and empower them on their path to self-sufficiency.

For nearly 130 years, H.B. Fuller has been a leading global industrial adhesives manufacturer providing adhesive coating solutions. Their global philanthropy strategy is centered in their commitment to improving the quality of life in the communities where they do business. This commitment matches EOCF’s mission of “strengthening children and families through early learning, child development, and community partnerships.”
