THE NEED IS GREAT!
Did you know the median price of childcare in our community is $932 – $1,105 per child, per month? When we compare this to the Clark County poverty rate, it leaves it close to impossible for families to receive affordable care and learning for kindergarten readiness.
Median childcare cost – monthly, per child Federal Poverty Guidelines – monthly income
$932 – $1105 $1345 (family of 2) – $2091 (family of 4) |
Current funding allows EOCF to reach 25% of eligible families.
Imagine the impact on our community if we could reach 100%!
EOCF FILLS THE GAP AND MORE!
Did you know that children receive 1/3 to 2/3 of their daily nutritional needs from our programs? This is critical for families with food instability. The combined elements of EOCF’s programs support families on their path to self-sufficiency.
EOCF’s services are provided at NO COST to eligible families. We have been a premier provider of early learning and family support programs for over 52 years. We serve more than 1,350 children and families annually who meet Federal Poverty Guidelines or have a child with a documented disability. EOCF not only provides quality preschool and childcare, we offer parents, guardians and pregnant women opportunities to build on their strengths and play a vital role in their children’s education. Parents receive support and training in parenting, child development, disabilities, nutrition, budgeting, home literacy learning and more. Our parents are mentored to become advocates for their children.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION!
You have the opportunity, to make a significant impact in EOCF’s ability to provide programs that break the generational poverty trend through literacy and early childhood education. Preparing our preschool children for kindergarten gives them a head start on their path to a successful life. With your help, we can work together to strengthen our community by building strong children and healthy families.
Please enjoy a very short video to give you a little bit of background on the organization and the impact it makes on our community.
We look forward to seeing you at the VIP Zoom Social on August 12th at 5:30 PM! You can expect more details to follow over the coming weeks including the “Pre-Party Guide.” Our goal is to continue education and supporting local children and families that are in need and worthy of our support.
