Meet BC, a valued program child of EOCF’s Crestline blended classroom.
Program Inclusion
By offering support with nutrition to home-based learning opportunities to adaptive equipment to succeed, EOCF has been able to meet and exceed the needs of local families who require specialized assistance and growth resources. BC is a valuable member of the Crestline blended classroom and he brings so much joy to the children, families, and classroom staff. As one of the many children within EOCF’s programs who have a disability, BC is treated with respect and customized care that provide him the best possible support for him to succeed.
EOCF and the staff at Evergreen Public School’s Crestline collaborated to obtain various tools for BC to use to better his day-to-day experience. BC received a permanent walker to assist him at home and at school, a communication device from the Developmental Disabilities Administration, and a tricycle to use when he goes home.
Access to Information
EOCF provides interpreters and translators for any program family or child requiring the service. To assure information is clearly relayed and proper details are provided to each family at EOCF, interpreters are a vital part of the success of the program families as well as the success of the agency. BC’s mother was very appreciative of this service and always brought an ear-to-ear smile to her face when she would hear of BC’s experience in class that day.
Commitment to Success
“I am very grateful that we have an amazing team at Crestline. This shows how when we work together, WE can make a difference in our students lives, both in the classroom and in their home environments! Best part is that this little guy will be in our class for the 2020-2021 school year!”
